Cox Communications Team Committed to Conservation

Cox Communications observed National Volunteer Month with a trash pickup on April 16th at Lake Accotink in Springfield. In total, 90 team members logged 180 hours picking up trash around the lake. The cleanup is part of an ongoing partnership with Fairfax County Parks where Cox employees volunteer on a monthly basis to help pick up trash and maintain trails around the lake, which is close to the company’s Northern Virginia headquarters. Cox has a longstanding commitment to sustainability through its Cox Conserves program in which they’ve invested more than $165 million in more than 500 sustainability and conservation projects. They recently announced the achievement of their first sustainability goal: to be Zero Waste to Landfill by 2024.
