I-66 Express Mobility Partners Supporting Northern Virginia Communities

I-66 Express Mobility Partners (I-66 EMP) engaged in several community-focused activities through volunteer efforts and contributions. In April, the team visited Willing Warriors’ rural retreat in Haymarket to assist with spring cleaning tasks such as spreading mulch, painting fences, and enhancing trails and gardens, creating a welcoming environment for injured veterans. In September, I-66 EMP volunteers packed 660 Power Packs at Food For Others in Fairfax, supporting local students facing food insecurity. Additionally, the organization contributed $10,000 to Food For Others to help provide nutritional meals for students in need.

I-66 EMP also supported educational programs in Northern Virginia. In March, the company donated $10,000 as a sponsor of the Prince William-Manassas Regional Science and Engineering Fair, with team members serving as judges. In April, a $2,750 contribution provided scholarships for ten Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) students to attend Tech Adventure Camp, and a $15,000 donation in May supported Educate Fairfax’s workforce readiness and career development programs. Since 2019, I-66 EMP has contributed $140,250 to Educate Fairfax, FCPS’s educational foundation.

Efforts to address the needs of underserved children included a $5,000 renewal of the Boxes of Basics Silver Sponsorship in April, providing essentials such as clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies for students in Prince William County. In August, the organization donated $5,000 to the Prince William County Community Foundation to aid students preparing for the school year and contributed $6,500 to the “Make Tech Pink” program, which encourages young women to explore careers in coding. In October, a $25,000 donation to SPARK, the foundation for Prince William County Public Schools, helped fund mobile science labs to enhance STEM education. Finally, in November, I-66 EMP collaborated with Drive Smart Virginia to bring ThinkFast Interactive to high schools in Fairfax and Prince William counties, using a game-show format to promote safe driving habits among young drivers.
