Sentara Cares was proud to make a $30,000 donation in May 2023 to Youth For Tomorrow (YFT). One of the YFT centers is a neighbor of the Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, Virginia. The mission of YFT is to provide children and families with the opportunity to focus their lives and develop confidence, skills, and integrity. Among the many services provided are outpatient counseling and mental health services, which Sentara applauds as a valuable and needed resource in the community.

Originally envisioned by noted football coach Joe Gibbs in 1983, YFT opened its doors in 1986 and has been changing lives throughout Northern Virginia ever since. Sentara Cares is focused on advancing health equity and ensuring that all members of our communities have access to the resources they need to live their healthiest and most fulfilling lives. This is exactly what YFT does, and Sentara Cares is proud to support this important and life-changing work.
