Thompson Restaurants Launches “Thompson Gives Thanks,” Bringing Thanksgiving Meals to Families Across the DMV

In November, Thompson Restaurants launched its “Thompson Gives Thanks” effort, a new initiative designed to bring Thanksgiving dinner to families facing food insecurity across the DMV region. The effort aimed to foster a sense of community and support for those in need. Customers were able to pre-order a complete Thanksgiving meal for their own celebrations or choose to donate a meal to a family in need.

This initiative was made possible through a partnership with the Northwest Federal Credit Union (NWFCU) Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on youth health, well-being, and education. Donated meals were delivered to local shelters and organizations, including those serving women and children.

Staff members prepared and delivered over 850 Thanksgiving dinners this year in Reston, Vienna, Leesburg, Arlington, Rockville, District of Columbia, and Prince Georges County.

“We’re honored to work with the NWFCU Foundation to bring Thanksgiving meals to those who need them most,” said Warren Thompson, President and Chairman of Thompson Hospitality.
