Criterion Systems Gives Back to Women and Families

Criterion’s corporate philosophy holds that true success requires us to give back to our community. We encourage, support, and celebrate our employees’ many and varied community outreach activities through our Criterion Cares program. Since 2009, Criterion has supported The Women’s Center (TWC), an organization that provides mental health counseling, support, and education to the metropolitan area to help people live healthy, stable, and productive lives. In 2017, we became a patron sponsor of the organization. But more than simple philanthropy, we actively work with the Center through volunteering on planning committees for their Annual Leadership Conference and Fall Gala, hosting summer happy hours (pre-pandemic and hopefully soon!), or providing materials for their education and career services. By choosing to support one organization in a focused way, we can have a big impact.

This past spring, 20 Criterion employees and special guests spent the day at the 2022 Leadership Conference, and our Chief Strategy Officer, Marcie Cheney (pictured with Rachna Krishnan, CEO and Executive Director of The Women’s Center) had the opportunity to introduce one of the speakers and award winners. She shared, “I have attended the Leadership Conference for the past 13 years, and every time I walk away, I am filled with energy and determination to be a better leader. I am so proud of my company’s support of this wonderful organization.”

Alison, a member of Team Criterion shared, “The Women’s Center is a special place close to my own heart. I am always thankful for the help they gave me. The Leadership Conference was an incredibly joyful way to give back, inspire, be inspired, and celebrate strong, diverse women from across our community!”
