Parsons supports International Technovation Girls Challenge

Parsons Corporation recently highlighted the company’s commitment to STEM/educational activities by supporting the Technovation Girls Challenge as part of its Gives Back program. When the opportunity arose to serve as quarterfinal judges for this initiative, Parsons eagerly stepped up to engage.

Technovation Girls empowers young women (ages 8-18) to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders, providing them with the guidance of volunteer mentors. Working in teams, these girls develop mobile apps and AI solutions that tackle real-world problems. We assembled a team of dedicated volunteers who spent countless hours reviewing team pitches and offering valuable feedback to participants from across the globe, including the Greater Washington area. Nearly 100 judges participated in the challenge, logging 370 hours of volunteer time. This inaugural collaboration with Technovation generated great enthusiasm, as the quality and depth of the girls’ projects inspired our employees throughout the judging process. Parsons will take part in the final phase of the challenge which runs from May 31 to June 14.

Since its establishment in 1944, Parsons has been actively engaged in the communities where it operates, emphasizing its commitment to supporting STEM nonprofit organizations, as well as causes related to the military/veterans and vibrant communities. Our involvement at the grass roots level represents Parsons’ goal to deliver a better world, reflected in our company’s core values of safety, quality, integrity, diversity, innovation, and sustainability.
