Capital One Center Gives Back

This summer Capital One Center hosted twelve nights of free drive-in movies at the McLean Metro Lot, in partnership with Second Story, a local youth homeless shelter who recently increased their emergency services by providing food, shelter and therapy for vulnerable community members impacted by COVID-19. In addition to offering free movie nights for our community, Capital One Center’s movie series raised $15,000 for Second Story. During the finale feature of Footloose, Kevin Bacon shared a special message about Second Story's important work, with thanks to his Foundation, Six Degrees.Org. This holiday season, Capital One Center invites the community to support the latest Capital One Center Cares campaign in partnership with Food for Others, the largest food bank in Northern Virginia. Capital One Center teamed up with their newest retail tenant, Wegmans, to increase impact for vulnerable populations in need. Through the end of 2020, Capital One Center will match 100% of donations made to Food for Others via our fundraiser link. Donate here and double your impact with us! Even more of an incentive: the top three donors will each receive a $250 gift card to the newly opened Wegmans x Capital One Center!  Food for Others distributes food to more than 2,600 local families in need each week, so your contribution goes a long way!
