Dev Technology Group launches the DevGivesBack program encouraging employee volunteer days within the community

Community is one of six core values at Dev Technology Group, headquartered in Reston, VA. To provide an opportunity for every employee to support their community, the company created and launched the DevGivesBack program at the beginning of the year. The program encompasses donating a combination of time, supplies, and financial support to various charities. Each employee can use up to 8 hours each year supporting either a Dev Technology sponsored event or supporting a charitable cause of their choice. This flexibility enables all employees, including those who do not live in the local area, to actively participate.

The company has supported several local organizations so far this year, including attending events to support and promote After School All Stars, in Washington, DC, Homestretch in Falls Church, the George Mason University Center for Psychological Services in Fairfax, and Cornerstones in Reston. We also worked a shift in the Food for Others Warehouse, set up a collection for can pull tops on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House in our office kitchen, and established a virtual Red Cross team to encourage employees to donate blood. Our remote team members have coordinated Boy Scout activities, supported the opening of a Veteran’s Village in Philadelphia, and participated in tornado cleanup activities in Little Rock, AK. We have several more opportunities scheduled to allow our team members to positively impact the communities where we live.
